The House Joins The Senate

Censuring or Impeaching trump would mean the loss of house and senate for the republicans during the mid term, which means unless trump has already appointed his two Neanderthals by then, pence would have no chance of getting his Neanderthals past the congress.

So the republicans would do whatever it takes to let trump have a free ride with no threat of censure let along impeachment at lease until past mid-term or two more Supreme Court justice has been appointed.

Trump might be an idiot, but he is probably cunning enough to know that if he does secure right wing control of the Supreme Court for a generation, he would afterwards switch from an asset to liability for the greater right wing cause.  So he will undoubtedly split his next two nomination to leave the Supreme Court balance in doubt to prolong his own usefulness to the GOP. So don't count on his having exhausted his own usefulness to the GOP even if two Supreme Court openings come up before the mid-term.

The same might happen by not impeaching him.  Only his base is standing with him and who are THEY going to vote for?  A democrat?

Not likely.

The difference is censure or impeachment makes loss of both houses almost certain, thus costing republicans any open Supreme Court seat that occurs after midterm.  Sticking with trump gives GOP a reasonable hope of retaining majority in both houses, and thus giving GOP a strong possibility of being capitalize on Supreme Court opening after the midterm.

The America they seek to rule is already rotting on the bottom. Being on a sinking ship won't hurt the republicans much.

The base still desperately clings to the illusion of "This Is The Greatest Nation On Earth."  What we are the "greatest" at is something they could never articulate but when or if it sinks in that they have been conned, watch out.  Stupid, angry, people with guns.

And, caught up a tree, it looks like the WLB will sign the bill.

Perhaps Putin will release the Pee Pee Tape in the middle of the signing ceremony.  You know how the WLB likes to preen for the cameras.

The based clings to the illusion that they are entitled for being white and born here despite also being stupid, selfish, gullible, lazy, and ill educated.   They can never give up that illusion because doing so would mean they admit to not being entitled and ought to be scrubbing toilets for more diligent Mexican immigrants.

Boru

45 is such an egotistical fuckface he'd also take credit for freeing the Jews from Auschwitz.

He put a former EXXON CEO in his cabinet who has been looking to expand oil drilling in Russia. Trump has no desire to keep those sanctions in place. It is nice to see even the GOP to keep some sort of leash on that dipshit.

That's sad but true. Wealthy fat cats ginning up controversies between various groups to distract the poors from picking up torches and pitchforks against the rich and powerful.
