How to deal with a crack head

No joke, I knew this guy back in the 80's who loved freebase. He'd run out, and would pick through the carpet, the couch, or anywhere else he might have lost a rock, and he'd try to smoke anything that remotely resembled one.

Ok, Lee saw this thread and he wanted to throw a little more info in.

Yes, she's gone.  He had known for a while that she was smoking more than tobacco because we would come in and smell odors coming from her room that weren't tobacco smoke.  We thought they were weed, but I always thought there was something off about them.  Crack and dryer sheets would have been the unexpected correct answer.  Also, he wanted to point out that the police weren't exactly thrilled to go through her room to look for identifying information.  They found a crackpipe (I was lucky they didn't try to hold Lee or I accountable for that) in there and I'm actually a bit afraid to clean in there because I don't want to unexpectedly come across any dirty needles.  All evidence is that she smoked her drugs instead of injecting, but you can't be too safe; especially considering she had lots of sex with lots of different guys and her mess rarely turned up any condoms.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the pipes we found and a baggie with some white residue left in it.

Having been a junkie myself, those things do not surprise me, I usually kept clean, but I have seen worse than that. That spoon wasn't used to eat soup.

Yeah, I've seen worse, too.  I'm pretty sure she was turning her room into a crackhouse, but she had to have some restraint because she knew I would call her on it.  Lee is really nervous and afraid to stand up for himself, Violet was in complete denial and more than willing to live among filth like that, so if I hadn't been speaking up, she probably would have turned the entire fucking apartment into a crackhouse.  

And, y'know, I'm pissed with Nikki because I have to deal with cleaning that garbage but..... on a less emotional side of things, I feel sorry for her.  I hope she gets into rehab and cleans her shit up, but I doubt it's going to happen.  Even if she's arrested (which is likely), she won't take rehab any more seriously than just trying to satisfy a court order.  She'll be back to smoking rocks as soon as she has half a chance.

She never showed needle tracks and neither did any of the men she brought into her room.  Lee uses needles for testosterone and Violet uses needles for diabetes, but we never saw any needles turning up missing, either Lee or Violet.  We also didn't find any syringes or needles in her room.  Having seen how little restraint Nikki has as far as her drugs, I think this is actually good evidence that she isn't shooting anything up.

In a way, I actually wish she had been shooting up.  Her room would probably stink a lot less.  I have no idea how I'm going to get that room to smell like anything other than a biological waste site.

Yeah, by eye examination looks like it. Rock doesn't leave those remainders.

Not to mention more volume is required - the test tube thing is more likely a vessel for cooking rock.
