Did it occur to anyone besides me that since Bannon has pledged to support Trumply and 'their' agenda post his West Wing position, Bannon might get to the point where he will have to destroy Trumply to save him ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
