It seems it helps if the recieving end is aimed squarely at the back of the throat, and if you minimise the amount that actually reaches your teeth. Naturally, I suspect this might be a bit difficult.

Oh, I don't use a straw.
I live in the moment, and just enjoy my Red Bully-Bull.

The official diagnosis I've been given is "idiopathic hypersomnia." They have no idea what the cause is, and both my therapist and my psychiatrist have ruled out full-fledged narcolepsy (they have seen full-fledged narcolepsy; in particular, my therapist had a student with narcolepsy who fell asleep during one of her classes), but they do think it might be a lesser form, since, unaided, I can stave off falling asleep with difficulty, even if I end up doing what I can to find somewhere I can fall asleep without bothering anyone. Looking up, Sleep apnea, the symptoms don't seem to fit mine that well. At any rate, the Nuvigil seems to work pretty well at containing it.
Interesting. Good luck with it. Hopefully the Nuvigil will continue to work for you.

Well... take care of those teeth then.
I'm crazy like that too, and I fucked my teeth up damn good and it just wasn't fun anymore at that point...
You'll always be fun as fuck though. I shall haz being appropriate by restraining myself by distracting myself with music. I may be crazy but, thankfully, I (just about) know how to behave... regardless of how much of my own mayo I'm regularly swimming in.
Apologies if the mayo joke was inappropriate (although I do say that shit all the time (or I did, it's been a while )... I'm still excited by the gag reflex comment ).
Yeah... I'll go back in my (former turtle) shell.

Are you getting enough sleep? If you're not, then sleep more. Duh.
Seriously though, no stimulants will make up for lack of quality consistent sleep.

Rest assured, 28 isn't old.
Try consistently getting 8 hours of sleep at nighttime. Simple and boring but it works!
I have to have a coffee every morning to wake up. And I rarely get enough sleep. But when I do, I feel like a completely different person. Better mood, more energy...

I drink coffee all through the day, especially at work. If you really want a blast of quick energy put a spoonful of instant coffee in your mouth and wash it down with some Mountain Dew.
Um, people actually eat instant coffee? I thought that was an urban legend.

-Teresa It's no urban legend. It's actually true and it's good for you too. It'll put hair on your chest! I'm at work right now with my instant coffee and Mountain Dew. So when I clock in, in about 15 minutes, I'll be ready to go! YEE HAW!!!!!
