Truly awful
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.

This is absolutely horrible. Where's God when you need him?
Oh... that's right. On a more serious note - I hope these people can find some sort of peace. No one should ever be forced out of their homeland for any reason. Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. RE: Myanmar's ethnic cleansing against Muslim Rohingya minority

If you're reading western media they're going to place a priority on things happening in the west.
The media founded in Myanmar, whatever their news outlets are, if they have them, will probably place a priority on their local problems. Your sources were two American news websites and a UK one. To be fair to Atlas . There has been silence up till recently . But the mistreatment of the Rohingya was going on long before this .

The world is obviously not silent about this. If it where not for Western media you may not of known of this atrocity. As far as action goes, I would not expect any from the U.S. as long as Trump is boss.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
Those buddhists are so peaceful typically.
Hard to believe that they are persecuting people based on their religion alone. I would have thought Buddhist extremism might look a bit more like this:http://www.theonion.com/article/buddhist-extremist-cell-vows-to-unleash-tranquilit-34623 I will pray to the Virgin Mary for peace in that nation.
Wiki indicates the Rohingya practice a Sunnis/Sufism brand of Islam. If they are viewed as 'infidels' (??) by their fellow religionists in the Mideast, then the US is going to catch hell for helping them.
If they aren't, then why no outrage from the appropriate sect in the Mideast ?? Just wondering, there seems to be a big part of the story missing. Additionally, this is a huge headache for Bangladesh, and I'm sure they would really like their $100,000,000 that North Korea stole back as soon as possible. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
