What do people like you think of the Welfare system in this country?

Murrica?  That it fails to secure the range and amount of necessities it should.  

In theory I think it is good, but I think if unchecked it could lead to laziness and sloth.

I;ve never been made aware of anything which suggests that not starving or dying of exposure leads to laziness and sloth.  I wonder how much work gets done on an empty stomach by a person with nowhere to sleep.  

Why are the poor so poor? Often they have no concept of work or really family history of owning property and keeping everything in order.

Same reason that the rich are rich, in Murrica.  Mommy and Daddy were poor, or mommy and daddy were rich.  This, more than any other factor, is most strongly correlated with your eventual socioeconomic status.  More than education, more than testable intelligence.  More than the man-hours of labor worked (by far).  There was greater social mobility in feudal europe, Europa.  You could at least kill the man with the stuff, then, and assume ownership.  

If we take away the welfare from people who don't really earn it I just think they'd have the incentive to get off their rumps and actually work for a living.

The people on wlfare work harder and for less than anyone else in the country.  That's why they're on welfare.  Doydoydoydoy.

Women would definitely be disincentivized to have numerous bastard children outside of wedlock.

Unlikely, they've always done so.  Whores, amiright? 

Maybe if Boqueesha stopped birthing babies by 10 different fathers (and get paid handsomey for each one) she'd be able to imrpove her own life for a change.

Don't get mad guys, it's funny

But it isn't though. Not to people like me. I find that an insult. We get SNAP benefits to the tune of a whopping $194 a month. That's got to feed five fucking people. 

And before the newly minted resident asswipe comes in and assumes I buy junk food with that money - think again. We get enough meat and produce to last three weeks. I buy flour in 25 pound sacks. We don't get processed foods except for bread, peanut butter (for the kids) and other necessities. I do what I can with what I have to work with. Rob works 45 hours a week and has to pay child support for children that we have the exact amount of time that his ex has them. She shouldn't be getting any child support at all since she's got a damn job. We have one car because we can't afford two cars. He gets a ride to and from work most days and he donates plasma a few times a month to help carry us through. 

People who think this is funny obviously don't have a clue as to what it's like to struggle. Christmas is coming up along with three birthdays all before that and I am trying to figure out how I'm not going to disappoint my kids this year. 

Many times we struggle with putting dinner on the table so no. None of this is funny to me.

As someone who has worked with people in your situation . I sympathize .

The "stigma" you mention only exists now in the minds of a small percentage of individuals, many of whom also whine about immigrants, the people on welfare, and, to a lesser extent, women working.

Many of those I refer to above would have a problem with a single woman in her early thirties, with no kids, who is putting her career before anything else.

Marriage, especially as a religious construct, has little meaning in a modern and fast changing world.

OMG Fuck off you asshole. What makes you think I want to even marry him? I have two kids from my past. One is an adult the other is 15. His two kids that live with us half the time are from his previous marriage. We are still a family and we still struggle to make things work. 

Buying a ring and getting a piece of paper won't change any of that except for the fact that I would lose my disability benefits because he makes too much money. 

Your crack about my kids having a real mother is priceless. They HAVE a real mother. I don't need to prove shit to you either.
