Christianity believes in salvation by faith: that it is belief in Jesus Christ that saves.

If that is the case, then wouldn't it be possible that the fellow who went into a church and shot a doctor and the doctor who got shot would meet each other in heaven?

Xtians believe in lots of silly shit. The fact that most of it is too silly for comprehension or reason accounts for the fact that there are over 30,000 sects of them, each swearing that they are right and everyone else is going to hell.
