RE: I'm organizing a donation drive for the unsheltered homeless in my area

Way to go AM!!
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Thank you to the anonymous donor who gave $200. I'm overwhelmed. Wow.
ETA: Yes, the donor is from AF. Yes, I know who it is. No, I'm not telling.

Thers a cold snap coming, so we just wrapped up distributing dozens of hats, gloves, blankets, tarps, handwarmers, personal hygeine care packages and snack items. We gave away all we could carry.
Everybody was thrilled amd very grateful for the generosity. Many thanks to all!
We have a small amount of leftover items that we will distribute on another trip, perhaps next fall when we are reloaded on supplies.

We will definitely do it again. We also do water and other needed items in the summer. That's kind of how it all started.
