I don't do gyms but I definitely have to get exercise to stay in shape already lol. And with my fm if I don't stay active my body hurts a lot more too.
hehe... 14 lbs... so eleven stone is 154 lbs; I could eat anything and that weight would never change, but not any more
Sorry to hear that Losty it's a bit of a vicious cycle isn't it? I can relate to a small degree because my RSI and other problems basically restricted my movement, but it's movement that arguably helps you get better.
Anyway, I'll talk to you tomorrow maybe... gotta go to bed now I'm so tired... so nighty night

Is it just me? I feel like I'm having a lower-mid life crisis here.
I believe I'm older than you. In my experience, that kind of dissonance only increases as time goes on.

Losty, it's just a mindset thing. That's all.
I'll be a child all my life ... I still like doing the kids stuff things too ...nothing wrong with that. As long as you don't hurt anybody, just be yourself...
Min's different ...I think when the doctor delivered him Min told him to GBJOYA! hehehe

I feel young but then I get a twinge in my shoulder.
I feel young, then I look in the mirror.
I feel young and then realise I don't know shit about modern culture, who are all these people on celebrity big brother? I may know one of them.
I hate modern music, WTF is grind and what is a fucking "drop".
The sexy love interests in films are starting to look like children to me.
So welcome to our world youngling.

I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up. Almost my entire life has been a grind. You are not alone. Take what joy you can every chance you get; those moments may be fleeting. YMMV. Now that I am retired, I'm a different kind of busy, mostly at what I want to do. I have enough dough to scrape by. We even bought new bath towels! One could see through some of the old ones.

I'm making posts about old TV shows like the original Hawaii Five-0 and The Facts of Life so yea, I feel old too.
1991 was the last time the Redskins won a Superbowl.
I remember dial up modems. I remember rotary phones. I remember when we only had 3 TV networks when they signed off at midnight.
If you sliced me in half, you could count the rings.
Last year I googled my childhood home address, the home had been sold several times since my mom sold it. One owner painted over the Mediterranean beach-scape mural my dad's friend painted on the dining room/living room wall and redid the popular faux wood finished basement of the townhouse I grew up in. But one room of the house I grew up in seems they did nothing to was the master bedroom bathroom.
I think they paid some 25-30k for that tiny shoebox townhouse back in the 60s. It sold for nearly 400k the last time it was sold. My mom sold it for 90k in early 90s.
Memories, misty water colored memories, of the way things were.

A stone is a unit equal to 14 lbs.
Man, I wouldn't want to have pass a stone that big.

I'm kicking 51, and I still feel pretty young mentally if not physically. For me, it's a matter of remembering that at best life is sublime, at worst it's brutal, but the majority of time it's simply absurd. Laughter helps keeps me young. Being in love helps me find the joy in life.
I do the adult stuff like work forty hrs a week and pay my goddamned bills, but I take the time to keep the boy alive. Compartmentalization is not just for theists; there's nothing wrong with setting aside time for the silly things that keep you young (that reminds me, I'm overdue for some roller-coasterin').
On the flipside, one of the things I love about growing older is that experience has equipped me little by little with the ability to see the rough stuff in perspective so that it doesn't knock me back too hard. That same experience also allows me to find the silver linings even when they're well-hidden.
I'm finding growing older more fun than I thought it would be, largely because staying young ain't as hard as I thought it would be. Go figure.

Yeah, I like a glass of dry white wine or a caipirinha fo sho, but my body can't deal with it. Age plus spina bifida complications. As for the second part, at 41, I am still such a teenager. Probably because of my lack of development in that area, so yes, I'd rather be daydreaming about girls in bikinis over jockeying cubicles or whatever it is that you do that's actually contributing to society.

I've never had one like that, thank gosh (otherwise, dialysis). But I've known others with SB getting their kidneys electroblasted in some fashion to make theirs passable.

Me too. I was 12 and I used to copy the dial tone in a robot voice while saying "cunt" and "hell". I used to be all like... "cunt dee-dee-dee cunt in hellllllllllll" and my mom used to laugh even though she hated the word "cunt" lol.
I was a perfectly normal child what are you trying to say?!
