I think that it wouldn't do anything good!
Well it is posible to lead the world in chaos but not something good will come out of it .

Well it is posible to lead the world in chaos but not something good will come out of it . There are thousands of gods. The biblical God is Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews and the God of the armies. He's a prick so it wouldn't be a loss if it's proven that he doesn't exist.

Yeah but it will still be the same thing, with or without religion.

Wouldn't you applaud a world in which people do both moral and immoral things for the right reasons, not because they think they are being watched or controlled by some invisible entity? Where scientific progress isn't stymied by superstitious ignorance? Where medical treatments are not rejected or withheld in favour of mystical incantations and hand gestures? Where people of differing sexualities don't have to live in fear of religious persecution just because some stupid book says they deserve it? You can think of nothing good to come from finally throwing off the shackles of religion?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

You must believe some form of "religion is the source of morality and moral restraint" to make such a statement.
My thought would be that the world is not READY for religion to disappear at this time ... too many people, if you believe what they say about such matters, refrain from pillaging and rape and general mayhem only because of the fear of hellthreat.
Until more people have an actual ethical center within themselves and behave responsibly because they understand it's in their rational self interest to do good, to support social reciprocity and to recognize their shared connection with the rest of humanity, then I suppose we'll need to scare people into being good, and religion is a good way to do that.
The open question of course is whether religion is actually effective in that regard or people just THINK it is. Also, whether in the absence of prefabricated religious ideation, people can rise to the occasion and think through their OWN values for GOOD reasons.
I tend to think that most people who believe religion actually makes people better moral actors, have been conditioned to think of themselves as moral defectives via the doctrine of utter depravity. I think most people would not even be vulnerable to such nonsense if they didn't personally care about doing the Right Thing. So I conclude that the fear of moral implosion in the absence of religion is an unfounded fear.

Yeah it could be good if it happens in time otherwise it won't lead to anything .
There are people persecuted. But there are a lot more people that are morally kept in line by the fear of god ( that is a reality and i don't like it either).

OP: Which god, there are lots of them you know.
What kind of "proof" do you propose that all the different faithful of the world will believe?
Why do you think without a god there will be chaos?
Do you believe that only "good" comes from god/religion? Or that we need a god/religion to tell us what is good?

Lets say the Christian God .
It's no need of an example of "proof" because this is a hypothetycal situation.
Many people see God as a beacon, a source of power , a moral guide , don't you think it will create chaos if that suddenly dissapears ?
No and no . It's something that the world still needs , for now .

bold mine
1. OK, christian god goes away. Do the people then get to take up jewish, mulsim, mormon, zoroastrian, ...................? Or make a new fantasy god?
2. Then I say that your hypothetical proof will be denied by most of the faithful for hypothetical reasons.
3. See #2 and #4.
4. It is not something that the world "needs". It is something that the world has been made parasitically dependent on. How do you know how the world will react once the parasite has been removed? Once it is seen for the fantasy delusion that it is, why can't it be rejected and a new better way put in it's place?
