Believing In God Is Extremely Immature.

Just wait, they'll probably give you Pascal's Wager  Big Grin "why not believe in my god and get into my version of the afterlife? It's a 50/50 chance, I swear, nothing to loose and everything to win!"

Until they end up in hell and the atheists end up in heaven.

Whereupon I'll counter with the Atheist's Wager, which boils down to "why not live your life the best you can as though there are no gods? If none exist, you lose nothing and made your world a better place. If some benevolent gods exist, you will surely be rewarded. And if the gods are not benevolent, the game is rigged before you start and they're going to get you no matter what you do."
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Turns out that god was M. Night Shama-lama-ding-dong all along and atheism was his plot twist.

No; he created us but also created entire galaxies next to us, entire planets and stars, to show us how small and insignificant we are:

Quote:Sura 40, The Quran:
( 57 )   The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, but most of the people do not know.
( 58 )   And not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the evildoer. Little do you remember.

But as we exist; bacteria exist too. Because that's what God does: he creates. From planets to stars, to different lifeforms, to meaning and music; to life and death, to humans and dogs.

He is a creator; not an oversized Sultan carrying a curved sword, or an old Zeus carrying thunder bow.

People didn't have a clue that such things as galaxies and bacteria existed in ancient times.  Almost everything you know is less than 100 years old.  So why do you insist on believing in ancient silly ethnocentric Middle Eastern religious fairy tales?  Aren't you smarter than 7th Century dummies?

You're right we do not have to wonder, God has shown us why, we have the answer you could spend a life time looking for and never finding it unless you come to God through Christ.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

And that's what theism is all about. Belief in an imaginary friend helps theists cope with life.

And yet we hate it when dumbass apologists show up here insisting that we're doing atheism wrong.

Don't you know the "christ" is simply a title and that there are many "christs"?

Seems to me like a damn decent place to start.

Any chance you'd be open to a conceptual distinction? E.g. Philosophical theism as distinct from religious theism?

Is there no back door? I don't trust this Christ bloke.
What's innit for him?
