What was the worst year of your life?

I thought 86 was awful

87 was worse

88 was as bad as 87

89 went right in the shitter

probably 93 or 94 before I had one that wasn't as bad as 86

You also asked what was the best. My worst was 9yrs old 1969 when, in Washington State, an explosive device exploded in my face leaving me near dead, blind and disfigured--ostracized by me peers! A year latter my vision came mostly back. 6yrs later, they finally finished with the reconstruction surgeries of my face(I am ridiculously really, really good looking). 4yrs after that bomb, my mother moved us to Huntington Beach CA to be with the pastor whom visited me in the hospital in WA whom married my mother 7yrs after the bomb when I was 16. My stepfather taught me the love for God's Word, the guitar and surfing: my three favorite things. That was the worst and best day of my life!

The second worst year was 1992 when the company I worked for went out of business. Then my stepfather survived a heart attack and asked if I could help him, and my mother, move to Colorado where he was originally from. Upon returning to CA there was that recession and no work. I ended up completely destroyed and homeless sleeping in my truck--FOR THREE YEARS! When in 7/1995, I finally got a job! 9/1995, they transferred me to Maui HI. 6/1996 I was married to my wife(a poor clerk), living on the North shore of Maui, surfing in my backyard and fishing from my hammock! Beyond dreams!

In 2006 I was a millionaire and retired in 2008. I spent the next 9yrs traveling the world! I'm now back on Maui. Without my life being destroyed in 1992: it would have never happened! Again, 1992 was the second worst and best year of my life !
