Where's Pyrrho and Epicurus?! It's a tie between the two. Though out of the options listed above, Lao Tzu. It's the nature of my inner pantheist.

The man who first hypothesized the atom. The man who is widely considered to be the father of modern science. C'mon! Thomas Hobbes Epicurus Machiavelli Friedrich Nietzsche Karl Marx All good. Also, Thucydides. The man who first posited the idea that might makes right in his History of the Peloponnesian War.
