For reference...again..Trump has been accused of raping a 13 year old girl, his ex wife, and a former business partner.  This is in -addition- to many allegations of unwanted and random groping and kissing. The guy is a creeper, even by his own admission. He's both been accused by multiple women -and- said shit that makes it pretty easy to believe them.

The republicans spent millions of dollars chasing down the truth of the "stain on the blue dress". Making Monica responsible for the most expensive blow job in history. They do not seem interested in rape by trumpus. Not even a nickels worth!

I have a dislike for Hillary Clinton, but to be fair, it's never easy to be in such a position especially if you love your husband.

I imagine part of me "doing everything I can to find out whether or not it's true" would include actually talking to the accusers about it personally.

I'm not sure I'd be able to look in the mirror if i tried to tell them to keep their story quiet. It would hurt my conscience too much and I don't think I could do it... just not my style.

I would still stay with my husband though. Whether right or not, I wouldn't have the strength to leave him bc I love him too much.

For those of us old enough to remember "bimbo eruptions" during Bill's campaigns for president, yeah, things are looking a bit different in light of subsequent events. Having a paid team of staff to deal with "eruptions" seems rather ground breaking now considering this was back in the 90s.

Additionally, I note Weinstein had a paid team to deal with the repercussions of his conduct. Lisa Bloom is rather up to her eyeballs in the Weinstein mess and for her role in it. Yet she's' also been on the 'correct side' of all manner of abuse actions too. Perhaps that is why Weinstein possibly made her an 'offer she couldn't refuse'.

I'll also note during Bill's impeachment and acquittal subsequent revelations have cast some of his accusers and detractors as guilty of their own similar horrendous conduct.

Locker room talk . I don't know what locker room you hang out at . But i'll be sure to avoid it if i find out if molesting women is treated as a casual discussion topic . And even if this were "locker room talk" that says something troubling about locker rooms . (if you buy that bullshit excuse)

This pledge was imposed (inflicted?) on Newt during the Iowa republican primary by some state conservative leaders that actually object to republicans pandering to them and their beliefs, and instead, actually expect them to also comport themselves accordingly too. Pretty radical stuff, no ??

Not if they vote R, they don't.  They don't even comport themselves to their own beliefs.  Unless, ofc, they believe in the radical doctrine of republican jesus...who refused to heal the sick because they were lazy takers, or feed the multitudes because it would only create a dependency.

Firstly, I think we'd have a better discussion if you'd try to choose appropriate arguments. Given that I just said that I think allegations alone are an uncertain way to judge someone on this issue (as in post 48), it's a poor measure for you to introduce right here.

What I think is a more certain measure is what someone says of their own views. Given this:



I know that Trump uses his power to prey on women. He literally said it himself. How can you have any doubt about this?

I'm no fan of Trump, but I disagree that this is at all equivalent to Clinton, much less that it's worse.

I think saying what Trump said above is no where near as incriminating as getting accused of rape and/or sexual harassment by multiple women.

Which of course Trump has been.

Fair enough. I didn't realize he was accused of those things. I thought shadow was just referring to the nasty comment he made to his friend.
