Great job on England indeed. They deserved the win, outclassed Sweden in just about every way.
Croatia deserved the win too, I agree @ emjay
Deserved and earned wins today.
Have to say though, was rooting for Russia. Just because it's their party, you know?

I wonder how croatia is going to function without a steady supply of gas though.

My bracket is officially washed out. with Brazil going out in the semifinals my champion pick is gone and the best I can do is 18 points - not enough to win.
I paid up by $5 and am waiting to hear whose going to win the office pool.

When belgium wins te world cup, me and my colleagues each get 55 euro's in return for our 5.
Then we'll spend it all, celebrating.

Good luck tonight... see how well the Belgian Buddhists do this time
The best odds I found for England winning... before it started... were 18-1... I wish I'd taken that now cos I actually think we've got a chance here

Sorry man
But yeah, they had a great run and were a formidable team, and I'd be proud of them too if they were my team It said in the commentary just a few minutes ago that before this, they hadn't lost a match in two years... I didn't know that... so yeah, a great run. And it's not totally over yet; there's still 3rd/4th to decide and if we lose tomorrow, you'll get that game you were looking forward to make up for our (alleged ) throw
As to this game, I couldn't fault them.. they had plenty of shots on goal and plenty of good saves... the breaks just didn't go their way

Indeed.
And in the end...
Good luck tomorrow Emjay.
I'm kind of hoping for that rematch.
But I'd prefer not, for your sake.

Thanks
But... que sera, sera. Even if we lose, I'm happy we got this far... and yeah, there will be that consolation of that game with you
I think whether it was France or Belgium in the final, it would be a very tough match... your team for its Zen approach and France for it's confident aggressiveness... whereas our team seems to be more cautious... but in the last game, that cautiousness was mixed with confidence and came through... so we'll see which approach works best... if we get there... and assuming both teams play as they have so far.
