Seems As If They Had A Point
#11
RE: Seems As If They Had A Point
What I want to know is what happened to the girlfriend? I mean, the parents are dead, the fuckhead who shot them and then himself is in critical condition (no loss if she doesn't survive). But the article says nothing about what was happening to his girlfriend in all this. Did she end up in the crossfire? Is she merely traumatised? How is she going to react ideologically to the Neo-Nazi she was boning killing her father and himself? Did this snap her out of her rebellion (this is the most likely explanation I can give for why she would even bother with a Nazi in the first place)? Is she going to somehow double down (God, I hope not)?

Probably.

Well, the Romans did it first.

That said, while it's widely talked about in Roman literature (Quintillian goes into remarkable detail about the length of the) and somewhat depicted in Roman art, as seen in this statue of Augustus, it seems that in Roman days, it seemed a bit more relaxed than Jacques-Louis David would eventually codify the gesture into:

[Image: the-oath-of-the-horatii-jacques-louis-david.jpg]

This gesture became a running motif in David's works, whether it was in his paintings of Roman History or the French Revolution, or Napoleon. Ralph Bellamy would eventually be inspired to write it into the Pledge of Allegiance salute. Meanwhile, in Europe, Gabrielle D'Annunzio would put the salute into his screenplay for Cabiria, and five years after Cabiria, he would eventually use it as part of the ritual for the first Fascist state when he occupied the city of Fiume. Eventually, it would be adopted when D'Annunzio became close to Benito Mussolini and eventually, similar movements across the world adopted it, and, after 1945, for reasons which should be obvious, it became a lot less common, whether in real life or in movies that actually were about ancient Rome.

I don't know about that. I think I'd let my daughter date a Ravens fan.

I think it depends upon the insurance.

Well, it's important to see both sides.

One of those "good people" according to the WLB I presume!

Yes Trump's "good people" and defeneatly better then:

Haitians who have AIDS
Nigerians who live in huts
American Indians who are Pocahontas
Black Americans who are disrespectful ingrates
Mexicans who are criminals and rapists
Muslims who are evil terrorists
Women who need to be treated like shit.

And they say this photo is photoshopped

As Trump would say after posting of fake violent Muslim videos: it may be fake video (picture) but deeds are true.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
