That's just stupid, my grandfather was completely happy as a blind person, a disease took his sight. People can adjust as long as they love life.
Why can't we all choose to keep both and feel fortunate we have both, hearing and seeing give us so much beauty and pleasure. I think the worst thing is to consider losing either one.

We have a blind member here in the forums and she even managed to post and interact with us even without sight. Why the fuck would being blind make you want to kill yourself?

I'd only kill myself if I was deaf lol. I could handle blindness.
Life without hearing music isn't worth living, for me.

Shows how much I know! I thought Brokenquill was blind but Rhonda was deaf!
But then I remember voice calling Rhonda on Skype years ago so she's definitely not deaf, lol.

I could still play, I don't need to see the keys. I also worked for a while at a resource center for the blind, so I have a working knowledge of Braille and a decent knowledge of tools and tech to assist blind folks.
