Why thanks Brian, I shall

I also eat beef in front ultra-religious Hindus every time I go to India

Do not do that, that's literally the quickest way to die in India, I just happen to be an extremely fast runner

HA HA HA good for you!

Funny thing though, as liberal as I am, I do hate it when I debate even liberal religious people, and get called racist. I once got called racist by a Hindu, for merely pointing out an India based atheist social media page. I mean seriously? "Hindu" is a religion, not a race. You can't help where you were born, and no, you cant help your skin tone or facial features, but you can certainly decide what your parents and or society sold you was crap and ditch it.

I do love my well intended liberal friends, but one is an issue of human rights, which all should be protected, even religion, but claims as claims are positions a human holds, they are not your DNA. Humans have rights, but claims don't deserve blind value.

As an aside. when I read this, I thought of Penn Jillette, the Vegas illusionist who wrote the book "God No". I still hate his economics, but he is spot on about questioning religion. In the book he describes a fan he had a meal with. He met him after the show and the former Jew said he left his religion. Penn invited him out and he had a bacon cheeseburger in front of Penn.

Atheists exist in every nation and we come in all skin tones and we have left every religion you can think of.  There are white atheists like me, and atheists in Japan, and in Mexico, and in India and even in Saudi Arabia and Iran. Even former Buddhists, because that is also a religion, not a philosophy, not a race.

Welcome once again. Now what would you say to an Apu clip from the Simpsons?  Big Grin

Aloha!
My girlfriend thinks I'm a stalker. Well...she's not my girlfriend "yet".

I discovered a new vitamin that fights cancer. I call it ...B9

I also invented a diet pill. It works great but had to quit taking it because of the side effects. Turns out my penis is larger and my hair grew back. And whoa! If you think my hair is nice!

When does size truly matter? When it's TOO big!

I'm currently working on a new pill I call "Destenze". However...now my shoes don't fit.

Spot on Brian. In those countries, as in the United States of America, where religious practice is protected, one has a right to practice whatever religion one likes. I defend that Constitutional right. But that does not mean that any religion has a blank check, or gets a free ride. Religious people have a right to practice and observe their religion, but that does not mean that their religion should be free of criticism or free from examination. Not in the free marketplace of ideas. Whatever bill of goods one has to sell will be looked at very closely. It is like buying a used car, or any car. You wouldn't want to drive it unless you checked the engine or its safety record, or how it smells.

You don't "practice" a religion. You practice a sport, you practice a degree like law or medicine. You follow and sell your religion.
