I get mistaken for giving a shit about ignorant opinions all the time.
I find the Venn diagram of people who jump to such conclusions and people who can be reasoned with is indistinguishable from the empty set.

People often think I'm muslim too. They say i have a moroccan, arabic, polish-jew look about me. (Depending on The person.)
Just live with it, i guess? It's just one of those things. And no-one forbids you to correct them.

When I had my beard I looked very muslim.
I was in my Muslim friends car and he asked me to take my hood down on my hooded top saying we already look like terrorists and i was making it worse. Everyone would joke about me being a terrorist.
I think if you're white people think you're either hipster or Muslim, it's 50 50. I'd probably rather be mistaken for a Muslim than be called accused of being a hipster.

I have a similar problem.
I have to wear pants all the time as people keep placing cameras on my head mistaking me for a tripod.
