I'm originally from India but I've lived in Canada for 5 years now. I have a beard and moustache, which are due to testosterone and not religion. Due to my complexion and facial hair, I have sometimes been mistaken for being Muslim. What should I do about this? What would be the quickest way to convince someone that I'm not religious? (Please don't say shave!)

Unless someone is treating you badly because they think you're Muslim, who cares what they think? If the topic comes up, you can simply say that you're not religious or that you're an atheist.

.
Why don't you want to shave?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Why should he have to shave? If I grow a beard, nobody comes up and asks if I am a Viking.
Both my elder sons can grow a burly beard, as well. The youngest son got all the Amerind blood, it would appear, and has almost no facial hair, like my dad. The middle son shaves his head and has a gnarly red beard like I had when I was young (even though my head hair was brown). Many people think he's a skinhead just because of the Norwegian white skin that never tans. They are fucking stupid, but there it is. He has friends all over the world, after living in the International House at San Jose State University- which he elected to do- just so that he could meet people from all over the world.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

If telling them their an idiot doesnt work. Then explain you are from India and do this to drive the point home.

What would be the quickest way to convince someone that I'm not religious? (Please don't say shave!) I've been mistaken for Jewish a lot myself. This was even before I finally decided to grow my beard and adopt the Greek Fisherman's Cap as part of my daily wardrobe (making me look like Tevye the Matchmaker to the extent that my Criminology teacher called me "Fiddler on the Roof" exclusively.) I latched onto the long beard because I discovered ZZ Top as a kid, and loved the look, but hated the fact that my genetics wouldn't allow my beard to reach their length. Years later, I'd finally see them live, and on the way to the car after the show, I found some Orthodox Jews greet me with "Shalom." If I could stand the taste of alcohol and wasn't taking anti-depressants (plural) that interact poorly with alcohol, I'd be taking a shot every time someone mistook me for Jewish.

If you can’t reason with them.... might as well leave them more confused!
