CNN: No one cares about Russia
RE: CNN: No one cares about Russia
It's amazing to me that we've reached a point where people have so much hitlery hate that they;re ready to become an apologist for foreign sabotage of our elections...even if they maintain that it was a failed or inconsequential attempt...which seems strained, in that I keep hearing the kremlins talking points from the same people......

The aim was to prevent a head of state openly hostile to mother russia from being elected, to install a leader that would reduce the effect of sanctions harmful to their national grift, and to discredit the american electoral process (and the US in general). I doubt that they themselves expected to be so successful. This is the hail mary thrown in desperation...that ended up winning the ballgame.

-and what do we hear? "BUT HER EMAILS!!!!"
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Russian ads on facebook? Maybe I'm just really bad at math, but Hillary outspent Trump and Russia combined by hundreds of millions of dollars. I fail to see how advertising was unfair to Hillary when she spent way more. How does that add up? The person that was outspent two to one is the person that had the unfair advantage in advertising? Anyone care to explain how this makes even a little bit of sense?

The Trump admin is being pretty damn hawkish with Russia right now, so I don't think people have to worry too much about the US government being controlled by Putin.

It's just a bunch of losers trying to stoke a Red Scare. The entire narrative about collusion (whatever that means) has been falling apart from the beginning. Meanwhile, we have 5 months of FBI texts coincidentally gone missing during the most crucial period. Don't know about you but I find it very troubling when the FBI loses evidence that could point to their own agents. Just like the IRS losing records that could show it targeted conservative groups. And yes, Hillary's lost e-mails. And they call Trump incompetent! These guys would lose their heads if they weren't screwed in.

I'm not sure how indictments sealed and opened, two cases going to trial, two guilty pleas...and an ongoing investigation can be parsed as "falling apart from the beginning".

I get that you have an axe to grind with liberals, but are you really willing to sacrifice the integrity of this nation on the altar of that grudge?

Not 17... 3.  CIA, FBI, NSA.  And I don't trust those three to tell the truth as far as I could spit a brick.

Four if you include the Director of National Intelligence who would have just taken the recommendation of the other three.

Sleepy

Holy fuck, nobody is saying blindly trust. It STILL remains that NO law agency, not even the CIA or Secret Service have a political party oath to serve in. THAT MEANS EVERY FUCKING LAW AGENCY has always been full of political pluralism as far as agents.  Long term policy would be a better argument, but as far as stupidly assuming because one party is in charge, suddenly every single agent adapts the political party in charge.

WE DO have the oath of office, and that includes ANY and all law agents, AS INDIVIDUALS, and AS individuals for a conspiracy to work that would mean every individual agent of EVERY AGENCY would have to all agree and be in on the conspiracy all at the same time.

Do you really think despite that Comey served under BOTH parties, that means every single FBI AGENT was a voting republican as an individual? Are you going to claim that because asshole 45 is now president, every single law agent is a republican?

YOU can only argue policy in terms of politicians, but it is FUCKING STUPID to argue or even imply every CIA agent, every Department of Justice agent, every ATF agent, every Secret Service agent, all the way down to every cop, are all going to suddenly adapt the voting habits of the President just because someone won and someone lost?

There NEVER has been or should be a political party oath to hold a position of intel or law enforcement. Those agencies are ALWAYS politically diverse and always have been.

The President, House and Senate and Supreme court, OVER LONG PERIODS of time set the tone of policy. But agents as individuals DO NOT.

I don't trust my government blindly either, but I don't go to conspiracy levels just because my party doesn't win always. When my politicians don't win, I look at them, not law that takes an oath to protect all of us.

Policy goes through congress and gets signed by either President in charge. Intel and Law enforcement ARE still political pluralistic regardless.

If thousands of DIVERSE agents and multiple agencies ARE all full of democrats and republicans AS individuals and all those agencies are agreeing, I doubt every single individual in them is lying as a giant conspiracy.

Just like I hate that people STILL stupidly think JFK was a conspiracy. Just like I hate that some morons think that 9/11 was a conspiracy between Jews and Bush Jr.

Our intel has gotten it wrong, under both parties. And our presidents have made both good and bad policies LONG TERM under both parties. But over all, our agents AS INDIVIDUALS do the best they can.

Why do Trump supporters keep deflecting to Hillary's behavior?

She's not the fucking President. Your boy is, and he's ass-deep in alligators in a swamp he ain't draining.

Meanwhile, putting the focus back where it really belongs:

Quote:Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is seeking to question President Trump in the coming weeks about his decisions to oust national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James B. Comey, according to two people familiar with his plans.

Mueller’s interest in the events that led Trump to push out Flynn and Comey indicates that his investigation is aggressively scrutinizing possible efforts by the president or others to hamper the special counsel’s probe.

Discussions about a Trump interview come amid the broader inquiry into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, a wide-ranging investigation that has already led to charges against four former Trump advisers.

Remember, it was obstruction of justice charges that got the Republican controlled House to start moving articles of impeachment against Nixon. I don't think this will end in impeachment until the Dems control the HoR, because these Republicans in Congress have repeatedly shown themselves to be morally bankrupt. This crop has no Howard Bakers or Barry Goldwaters.

If I were to pretend trump himself to be the greatest executive that ever lived, I would still totally revel in his most complete, disgraceful and irremediable fall because so contemptable, two faced, nullistic and unprincipled are his followers and adovacates entirely separately from the contemptability of the actual trump, that the his downfall and their defeat, utter dejection, despair and disenfranchisement could not but be health giving for the country and the world.

I can't even "pretend" 45 is close to competent. I accept he is appealing to right wing "Gods/guns/bible/let the rich fuck us over" sure, but no, not even in a "pretend" example could I bend my brain to even contemplate such absurdity.

I didn't post anything about Hillary's behaviour. Just that she had more money to spend, so it's laughable to make the argument that Trump had some kind of advertising advantage because Russia spent a small amount on troll ads. That's a joke, and the only reason people bother to talk about something as insignificant as Russian troll ads, is because they're reaching for any shitty excuse they can to try to make it seem like their candidate wasn't the worst candidate in history. They want to deflect away from her and her campaigns stupidity, refusing to even visit some states that she could have won. There is just no defending that kind of stupidity. I fail to see how pointing out that Hillary had more money to spend makes me a supporter of Trump, but I guess stating a fact is enough to make someone a Trump supporter/ sympathizer now.

Going further than Obama by striking Syria and announcing it's occupation for the foreseeable future against the wishes of Syria and Russia sounds like a little more than a show to me.
