I think they also tend to be more moved/obsessed by purity .. something that leaves me cold. Brewer would be a good one to talk about that.

Please note this is kind of a troll post . But i figure if Beta can do it why can't i?

Yeah it's obvious that Beta is deliberately trolling within the rules. Not that it bothers me but I found it amusing that he accused me of trolling him when I replied to him. Not that I would seriously argue that men are generally submissive (or women for that matter which Beta seems to think)

"Do Racism, Conservatism, and Low I.Q. Go Hand in Hand?" "Hodson and Busseri (2012) found in a correlational study that lower intelligence in childhood is predictive of greater racism in adulthood, with this effect being mediated (partially explained) through conservative ideology. They also found poor abstract reasoning skills were related to homophobic attitudes which was mediated through authoritarianism and low levels of intergroup contact." Hodson, G. & Busseri, M.A. (2012). Bright minds and dark attitudes: Lower cognitive ability predicts greater prejudice through right-wing ideology and low intergroup contact. Humans evolved to be social. Most humans get sold the social norms of their parents at birth. Our species has a majority tendency to defend that which is local and that which we grow accustom to. Humans don't like having their social norms upset, and the extreme of this ends up in conservative views. Every religion in the world has individuals, families and or sects, to greater or lesser degrees, who hold fear of change.

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Nice one, OP.
By the way, when I think "conservative", I tend to think of right winger Republicans when condemning them, rather than the more rational types. Perhaps, I should avoid referring to the crazy ones as "conservatives" the next time I make a condemning statement about them. |
