Fair point.  I often pray to Jesus to save me from eternal hellfire when we've run out of chocolate Hobnobs.  As soon as we get more in the house, I always go right back to throwing darts at my Mary Magdalene target.

That war was probably the death blow to christianity in Europe, it exposed the preachings of the various denominations and sects as nothing but empty hot air.

So............ they were talking out their asses?

Honestly, I wouldn't give the religionistas that much credit.

Cartoons are all he's ever had.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Lmao y'all are very true to correct me, I did indeed forget it was Evil Morty. I apologize and will now go hang my head in shame and rewatch the series again.

If you don't know what rick and morty is it's a CTN show that is kinda a play on BTTF. Rick being the doc/mad scientist character and morty being the dumb grandson. They travel through time space and even split dimensions. Which is where this episode takes us. In it reality has fractured and the universe is tearing itself apart. the goal here was for all versions of rick morty and (the grand daughter) to come together and attach those collars to their necks so all universes would collapse back down to one reality.

Where the truth of atheism is revealed is about 1:20 seconds in when rick help Morty get home and ponders death. Then by himself he gives up on theism and seeks mercy from God, and in one reality he goes balls out begging God for help mercy and in the others he seeks forgiveness for his sins, but when Rick is saved.. and his prayers answered, it all goes back to "Eff you God"

What truly is funny/sad this has to be anchored in reality to one degree or another in order for this to be a punch line that we all get.

Cartoons for Christ would be (and are) far worse, like "Reefer Madness" being used to keep kids off of drugs. Do you buy that premise, too? You might try a little more adult programming. :nods:

Indeed it is, but it's stilled spelled 'chocolate'.  And 'Hobnob' is a brand, so should always be capitalized.  Put THAT in your linguistic pipe and smoke it.
