You can't be serious.  Religion is the most lucrative scam in human history.

Yes... this question should be publicly posted to every single church and religious organization out there.

Also - JR - are you going to come back and discuss your post or was this a one time toilet paper wiping kind of post?

I'm not sure, Joods, but I think maybe JR meant this as her intro post, but she ended up inadvertently posting it in the "Ask a..." subforum of Introductions.

The content of the OP doesn't quite match up with my hypothesis, but it doesn't quite rule it out either.

Just in case, maybe we should give "welcomes" to JR Smile

Comfort is an idiot. He is no fool, however. One would be a fool to not profit from that deep well of creationist credulity.

I don't think he's a member of the boards OP. Here's my question to you, though. What does "sticking to science" have to do with "inaccuracies" of interpreting doctrine? Additionally..which is worse, getting doctrine "wrong"......or failing to accurately communicate whatever science you purport to be discussing?

I can't help but shake the suspicion that you are merely telling us that you don't believe what ray comfort believes about bible. Well, get in line, christianity is massively divided on precisely that issue. Do you, however, believe what he believes regarding evolution?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The idea that Comfort "sticks" with science is fucking laughable. When has he ever begun with science?

We'll pass it along to him.

You know, you're giving out about a man misinterpreting a book which, in its first two chapters, gives three incompatible visions of its protagonist.

In genesid 1 & 2 yhwh is described variously as a minor god in a pantheon, a god amongst many who was the jews exclusive worship idol and finally as the only god on the planet.
