In this Rik is perfectly correct. There are countless reports of patients describing in great detail objects and pictures placed out of site of observers in the operating theatre. How do you explain this if not by the consciousness leaving the body.
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Rik's reasoning out of hand.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

No they don't
1. imagining your near dead body is not the same as being separate from it
2. Imagining a place you have never been will not either
3. Witness confirm what the person told them

Joke or no, I think jorg already mentioned one way in this thread (or another). Clairvoyance. Remote viewing. Far sight. No different than the ability to know the contents of a closed box while fully awake and not near death. Not that I believe in any of that nonsense..but it fits the evidence (we're granting it on a whim because we can) without the extraneous assumption that we have souls that take flight.
