MY thunderwear do not allow particulates to pass through. GASES do pass through, however, and your putative god help you if you are downwind, and in some cases, upwind, after I've had a nice side order of kimchi, jalapeños or sauerkraut (crock brewed, not that vinegary stuff from the grocery store). I'm the proud venter of a fart that caused people to open all the windows of their house in Idaho in February . 30 below, with the wind chill factor. That was a personal best. Then again, crop dusting an entire high bay (back before I discovered I was lactose intolerant) might have been a better.

I could have been like one of my uncles (not related to me) who used to fart in bed and then spit at the ceiling so that my aunt had no choice but to dive under the covers.
