To be honest I don't think TOS has dated particularly well. TNG is better, for the most part, but even the early episodes of that had some truly terrible moments. "Skin of Evile", for instance. But it picks up really well with "Best of Both Worlds". Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
I've liked Patrick Stewart ever since he played a nude female vampiric alien. That was great work on his part.

I saw that years ago. He was also in a British Shakespearean group in the 70s/80s. Another member of the group got a role in a certain TV show about a time travelling doctor, as a companion (I can't remember her name). When she proudly announced it, Patrick Stewart told her, "there's no future in science fiction." She apparently reminds him of that whenever they meet... Some, yes. but I think it was far better in the movies. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" Also, I think you'd like "Skin of Evil" since you said you disliked Tasha Yar in the other thread. Skin of Evil is still, for me, one of the worst Trek episodes ever. Along with Shades of Grey for TNG and Move Along Home for DS9. Strangely, I quite liked Denise Crosby's half Romulan character.
