Yea got it, because slavery was held to be moral at one point. Andrew Jackson was right to murder  natives. Women should not be allowed to vote. And gays should be thrown off of rooftops.

What you are asking is fair, and you have the ability to work it out. It will depend on whether you are able to be neutral in your conclusions until you are certain of the answers.
I'm not going to tell you the answers, because every answer will just raise more objections. Which is OK, but if you are determined to discard the Bible story as a myth, there will always be plenty of hooks to hang your doubts on.
The immediate response to that may be that I don't have the answers and I am backing away.
How can anyone argue with that?
