I have no idea. Never been sick enough to need blood or surgery. I could learn if I donate blood and I wish to donate blood but have held off due to certain sexual and recreational practices I and a corrupt circle of friends participated in over 25 years ago. One of those friend circles that was intimately linked with other corrupt circles forming a mesh. I am not dead or sick. I have been tested for Hep-C and HIV. I am one of the lucky ones. I wonder if I should go ahead now and donate? Would any of you want my blood?

I have B positive and I remember it because when they take my blood I say be positive, it's a good deed lol

I took a home test once then promptly forgot the result. Pretty sure it had an A, B, or O in it. Was either positive or negative.

I donated over a hundred pints of plasma while I was going to school at Purdue. I was a steady enough donor that they got me in the rabies vaccine program. That needed me to donate twice a week for ten weeks without missing a donation. I got $50 a pop for that.

I donated blood, once, just before the HIV hit. Wondered for years if I had killed someone. Wondered if I had been party to an event that did kill people, in fact.
Still have my nearly 40 year old blood donor card in my billfold, a reminder just easy it is for everything to go to hell.
Additionally, BION, I donated at a Gay Blood Drive in a Unitarian Church in the Chicago metro area. Probably '80-'81 time frame. Donating was fine, procedure went fast and wasn't uncomfortable. When HIV (wasn't called that, BTW, in that time frame, Gay Cancer, HTLV, and a few others) came around and they kept lengthening the amount of time one might be positive and not know it, it was a real issue for me. And the barest particle of relief occurred when I was tested as - in '87.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
