Arm Everyone, a poem.

Arm Everyone, a poem.
"Arm Everyone" By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB and @brianrrs37 on twitter).

Those of the right
Rightfully condemn
Mixing the Koran
And that of weapons

There was a day
When the NRA was sane
When it valued safety
Not a profit lobby

But fear works
It sells firearms
To both society
And cops

It't sells Glocks
And bump stocks
AR-15s
And banana clips

Meanwhile cops
Punch in on the clock
Wondering if
They'll make it home at all

The rural right
Pitted against urban citizens
Not understanding
They've been pitted against

Pitted against
Each other needlessly
For nothing but
That of shear profit

Just like tobacco
Just like lead in gas
Protecting an industry
No matter the cost

I live on the coast
In South Eastern NC
And not even here
We are gun violence free

Follow the industry
Follow the money
If you want
To end this misery

A flooded market
And ease of access
Maintained by greed
And corporate profits.
(end)

- A poem by Mr S. Baldrick.

Boom, boom, boom, noom,
Boom, boom, boom.

Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Boom, Boom, Boom!
Dying to live, living to die.

A cacophony of insecurity, sense of entitlement topped off with the sugar coated Dirty Harry utopia nonsense that solves nothing.
