'Murican theists don't see it that way, though. They misguidedly believe the country was founded specifically as a "christian" nation--though who really knows anymore what it really means to be a "christian".

Yeah, I've heard that argument. Ten commandment monuments in front of courthouses, despite only two of them being laws, ect.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.

This is one of the reasons I'm not big on building a wall on our southern border, I might want to get the hell out at some point and a big ass fence would make it much harder. I would hate to have to go to Canada, its really cold there.

Not true. Christianity is gaining in numbers in East Asia and Africa.

Secular means to not favor any particular sect, i.e. religious tests for office and no state sponsored church. It does not mean non-religious.

They aren't "True Xtians."  The only time they get included is when other xhristards want to impress themselves with their alleged total number.  Otherwise, they are just fucking heretics.

Also, companies like Samaritans Purse and Operation Christmas Child pretty much bribe poverty stricken children into accepting christianity.  OCC sets up an event, hypes it up to locals, all the kids come out to receive trinkets in exchange for listening to the "gospel".   Then SP marks all the participants down as coverts. It's a sham.  However, SP must spend the money somewhere or risk a decline in donations.   Angry

From a anthropological standpoint, if these kids have never heard the xtian "gospel", they probably think its as stupid as xtians think about paganism.

Edited to add: I post this to assert that I think the numbers are askew.

And yet USA has turned into a very pro christian country over time, with many arguing it was founded on specifically christian principles.

The Koran might mention Jesus, son of Panther, but transcombobulating US law into something that would garner a Sharia stamp of approval would be a pretty rough outcome.

In-house, Islam is pretty harsh on their atheists. Not sure if an infidel atheist would garner a harsher disembowelment/decapitation than a Christian infidel, and I'm not eager to find out.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

The same model the church has used for centuries.  They don't really care if you believe their shit.  Just show up and pay up and they are satisfied.
