Secular means to not favor any particular sect, i.e. religious tests for office and no state sponsored church. It does not mean non-religious.

Google the Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11 sometime.

Europe killed so many people over religion that they may as well keep rolling with it. Otherwise what did they die for, ya know?

Often cited and often misapplied. All it implies is that there is no official state religion. It does not say that the USA is as a nation, people, or government must be free of religion, its expression, historical recognition, or hertitage. The USA is founded on universal principles of human dignity and liberty generally grounded in theism without partiality to any sect, including Islam.

Now all the US needs is for all the other xtians to drop all the pretense.

Eastern Europe is still very religious, when numbers go down here I'll let you guys know but I won't hold my breath.
Altough, the church lost a lot of ground in recent years.

And yet USA has turned into a very pro christian country over time, with many arguing it was founded on specifically christian principles.

It also seems to be turning into a very militaristic country as well.

I seriously worrying about the US becoming a fascist country.

Nahh ... they'll go the way of the christians.

Obviously I don't expect you to understand why, that would also require a good education system.

You should explain it to pew research, because they see the non-religious declining as a percentage of the population over the next 50 years, Christians about the same, and Muslims growing.

This is because Europe is declining in population, the medium number of children per women is 1.8 .
While Africa has an exponential growth.
