If Australia and Scotland can put a stop to firearm violence what makes you think America cant?

We know what the solution is, stop the OBSTRUCTION of the NRA and the GOP. 

You know what has not been well thought out as far as solutions? Sell more and do nothing.

That sounds like more than a rant than a solution. Are you looking to get rid of the 2nd amendment? Is your plan to just stop gun deaths? Does it matter if someone dies another way?

I don't agree with turning schools into prisons but the majority of that list I agree with. I would only add waiting periods and bans on big clips. The rest of it looks great.

What part of "regardless of intent" can you not grasp? Do yourself a big favor and look into "reading comprehension" and how it can benefit you. Aside from repeating yourself in your first 2 sentences, you are either woefully uninformed, or simply lying about gun deaths being specific to the USA. I'm going with the latter, for obvious reasons; the internet is the most powerful information gathering/learning tool ever created. Your excuse for not taking advantage of it is inexplicable. Especially when it is so easily used to disprove blatant lies like yours.

Do you find the average of 96 firearm deaths per day acceptable? Yes/no..... THAT is what we are talking about in this thread. 

I also have issues with use of cell phones and computer screen dashes in cars, BUT that is not the topic of this thread. If you want to make a thread about auto safety make one. We are discussing firearm safety in this thread.

It depends on the violence. I'm in favor of a cancer victims right to end his own life, yet that gets lumped into the firearm violence stat.

I think this thread is losing focus.  The topic is about USian schoolkids advocating for something to be done about the seemingly incessant school shootings.  Yes, more people die in car crashes.  Yes, more people die of cancer, liver disease, insect stings, being run over by farm equipment, being hit on the head repeatedly with iron bars, and so on.

But bringing these up is not only off-topic, it dishonestly tries to make the case that since more people die from things that aren't school shootings, then nothing should be done about school shootings.

For the record, Fox has good polling. The network outsources that stuff to a legitimate pollster. Whether they always report the results they like...is another story.

Um no, if you actually watched the rally, though it was started by the Parkland students, it had speakers who were affected by domestic violence and street crime. It was about teens sure, but teens affected by all types of violence, not just school shootings.

What I wonder is why your mom had the sense to run out of the house and you didn't.  Somebody taught her about guns but not you?

Maybe thats why kids are getting killed.
