HEY,........... look,............ I'm trying to die a quickly as I know how. You'll just need to be patient. The outlook would probably be worse for a youngish/er member of the non-deplorable republican set...watching a bunch of geriatrics tank the party and then peace right the fuck out..leaving you holding the bag. OTOH, non deplorable republicans have plenty of suitably right leaning dems to choose from..so I don't know if it would really matter much to you if the republican party ceased to be viable?

The way to do that is to get involved in the Democratic party and take it over.... the same way the fascists took over the republicunts. This third party shit is a dream.

I wish there were room in this country for more than two significant parties, too. That doesn't mean I'll leave mine to chase the dream. A third party can't make much of a difference in a two-party system, which our winner-take-all election system guarantees, and one of the major parties would have to support changing the rules for them to change.

The implosion of the GOP would give dems more leeway to assume some of that hypothetical third parties votes. Essentially, the dems just need to do what they fuckin say they will ( and maybe go an extra mile) to poach the m-vote....whereas the gop would have to do an abrupt 180.
