advice: location location location.

The one on the back of my neck, I got in Manassas. It cost $125. My trampstamp? I got it down here in Charlotte. It was $125.

Research - find out where it's cheaper because of cost of living. Then do a lot of asking around. I'll only go to Elmo now for anything else I do.

This, and find an artist who does good work and has a good history.

Did you ever get around to uploading those tats?

Thanks... It's partially colored now, need to go back and get it finished. So far it's been 8 hours of work. It's my second tattoo, with a third in the design phase - all by the same artist.

Here's my first tat - pretty basic and boring, but it's personally meaningful.

P.S. You know that guy, he goes out and gets his first tattoo, and gets something tiny because he's not sure about tattoos? Yeah, I'm not that guy. LOL

You can see two of them in this pic from my wedding day. Pic taken in airport bathroom. Don't ask. The big one on my back is an American flag and a bald eagle with feathers clutched in its talons.

This one is on my right forearm. The full text is Wish You Were Here. Not sure if you can read it in the pic. I just glanced.

This I got as a graduation present from my uncle (you can guess that my mom wasn't too thrilled). Anyhoo, I drew it myself, so I'm kind of proud of it. Next I either want a Darwin fish (me and my cousin are going to take it together as a symbol for our love of biology and evolution and our friendship) or then a strand of DNA that goes around my left arm, right under the elbow. Smile

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
