Curse word replacement

RE: Curse word replacement
Quote:I don't care if he hears those words, but I do care that his life will be made difficult by others for repeating words he is too young to understand. He will not get in trouble for saying fneurgin

Just so. Not to mention MY life may be made unpleasant by one of the child's anal retentive parents.

Me? I don't give a flying flunggle either way, although I HAVE been known to say "Flunngle my dunggle!" when REALLY miffed.

If a child asks what that means, I explain it's what I say instead of 'fuck me!" when to do may result in unpleasant consequences. EG the embarrassed silence if one says 'cunt' in Canada.Angel Cloud

I learned the common expletives when I was 5,at the convent school I attended. I can still remember the first dirty joke I ever heard. It featured a young lady with the unlikely name of "Fuckerarder".I also remember mum didn't think it was at all funny.

I'm a big fan of the Battle Star Galactica "frak."

Have found that the more PO'd I am and the more I really get into the harsh sound of the FFFFRRRRRRRRRR and then really work into the hard abrupt "ACK" at the end the word, the word becomes most satisfyingly delicious and a real stress reliever!

Either swear and be done with it, or have the self control to hold one's tongue. It's not rocket science.

I learned a lot of curse words when I was young, but my parents taught me when to say them. In my case, when my peers started using it. And to control myself when in places that didn't tolerate vulgar language.

I will always be baffled by people who insist on New Speaking something as inane as a swear. I, however, prefer to use swear words from different parts of the world as merely a silly exercise.

That must mean you are a better person than other people; bask in your superiority! Oh, I see you've already done that. Tongue

Quite so. And for my next trick, I will not come up with new activities under the classic guise of "Think of the Children!" Big Grin

Proper use of vulgar language is such a hard thing to learn Shock

Well, when I have to censor myself, I usually just say "censored" in place of the offending word.
