Arguments for God in Quran.
RE: Arguments for God in Quran.
The Quran shows why all other possibilities other then God are not reliable assurance of guidance.

God is the only light that can be taken seriously to be followed.

What is your Leader? What is your Guide?

Are you your leader? is it society? what leads you, this is an essential question.

I think Quran makes a good case, that it's desires that are followed if it's not going to be God that is followed.

If there is no God, the path and guidance become indistinguishable from misleading paths and misguidance.

Put up or shut up.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Exactly, morality is a guide! Now is it a living guide or just a concept like a written code we hardwired by!

We are getting somewhere!

What?  No.  You cannot assume your conclusion in your first premise, lol.

“It’s clear we’re being guided by something, therefore a guide exists” is circular reasoning.

Try again.

We'll see.  LadyForCamus, said an important thing guidance implies there is a guide.

A source that provides guidance, is it our brain, is us, or is it something else?
Hardly matters, since you've decided that morality is a guide.  OMG, OMG everyone..morality exists!   Let's all stop what we're doing and spread this wonderful and heretofore unknown truth!

Rolleyes
It's something you guys obviously don't think about.

So what is it?

Tell me what it is.... just because you have name for it, doesn't mean you realize what it is.

Quran shows a paradigm, and to me, it eliminates all other possibilities of what it is.

Meh, I'm just gonna go with premise one.  Morality is a guide, morality exists. No one has to show you shit, Mystic. This is your baby, your argument for a god. Do your own work.

What argument brought you to that conclusion?

Quote:God is the only light that can be taken seriously to be followed.

What argument brought you to that conclusion?

Quote:Are you your leader? is it society? what leads you, this is an essential question.

Causality ultimately dictates everything for everyone, so God can take a backseat.

Quote:I think Quran makes a good case, that it's desires that are followed if it's not going to be God that is followed.

You very clearly haven't reasoned to your position, you've just read scripture and accepted it blindly. So you can stop pretending to care about making an argument now.

If you're really interested in being rational, you'll reformulate your argument and allow me to reformulate mine, and perhaps as we mirror each other you shall see that yours is no less silly.

Quote:If there is no God, the path and guidance become indistinguishable from misleading paths and misguidance.

I don't agree because even the most enlightened people aren't guided by a God.

But even if were true, it wouldn't prove God because you haven't demonstrated that a God is required for 'real guidance' to exist.

There is guidance.
And if you think about long enough, yes, you realize it requires a source.

To say there is a source of guidance would be not sequitur, but at same time, we know it's irrational to say guidance has no source.....

So what is the source of guidance for you? What is doing the guiding?

Or do you believe love is not to act according to moral guidance.

So how it is a guide?

I think Quran shows the paradigm, God is the light of the light, the source of guidance and luminosity and perception. It shows it. Are you willing to accept this as a possible framework?

And you started off denying such a thing as guidance.

So baby steps we will get there.

Yeah, it's called morality, which exists.

Yeah, it's called morality, which exists.

So morality is the source that provides morality.

Great we fixed dilemma thing about command theory...
