Female shooters are rare. I can remember only one female shooter serial killer, Aileen Wuornos. The hex-wife had a database of over six hundred serials and Aileen was an exception to the "male only" rule.

Female shooters are more likely than say a woman running around gutting people, though there's been a handful of those too. Guns are relatively impersonal. Women tend to choose impersonal methods.
