Except that Jesus, in the New Testament (laws of which Christians are supposed to follow), mentions he did not come to abolish the old laws but to uphold them.
What Jesus said right after the part you are referencing is that he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.

And a curious omission I have noted. There seems to be no religious groups picketing the White House these days, despite it literally being an actual den of inequity now. Various Christian groups have no trouble summoning warm bodies for abortion clinic protests, yet there is scant interest in deploying the troupes to the White House now. And this isn't over some minor issue like a window box with 2 different kinds of flowers in it. Adultery is a 'big ticket' transgression. Old and New Testament concur.
Wouldn't triage rationale suggest the greatest good could be derived from picketing/protesting the White House?? The visibility and media availability would be overwhelming considerations on where to 'deploy' the witnesses of the Word. A sincere outreach to the president (and his staff of enablers) would send the right message to a nation rapidly becoming increasingly confused on Jesus stand on adultery.
Silence definitely equals consent . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Well the bible is the only book worth reading after all.
Nothing to learn elsewhere.

You need a hermeneutic to interpret scripture. My hermeneutic is that humans invented every word of it.

It certainly seems that way
Other than that, it's just sheer co-incidence that God's timeless words just happen to coincide with what the goat herders were thinking as well?
Weird huh?

Gods never know more than their human creators know. I know, it's weird!
