I can explain the report of the events very easily.

Why is it that when the world was full of superstitious primitives, it seemed they couldn't step out of their front doors without experiencing a sign from "god", but, as the years passed, the frequency and showmanship of those "miracles' have reduced to a level where, in the 21st century, when these events can be studied scientifically, all Jesus can manage to do is appear on toast?
It's almost as if it's all bullshit... Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"  RE: How can you explain the miracle of the Holy Fire?

There are more impressive "miracles" than this one. Such as the Fatima one, where 70,000 people claimed to see the sun crash to the earth or whatever it was.
Everything can be explained by natural phenomena. If it's not part of the natural world, it doesn't exist. If God were shown to be real, I'd follow Spinoza. 
I looked it up on Wikipedia. Says Pope Gregory IX denounced the holy fire as a fraud. So if a pope from fucking 1250 AD isn't buying it, not sure why you think it'd convince anyone in 2018.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.
Also the wikipedia article explains it exactly, and someone figured it out well over 600 years ago. At least look this shit up on fucking wikipedia before thinking you've got something clever.
