Post something!
My days of competitive drinking in high school and college are way long gone. I shouldn't have done it back then either.
I wont say I don't drink at all. I don't mind pickling my liver. But when you are at home, you don't have to worry about a DUI.
Even today, at 51 I hesitate at meeting friends at bars, because even when I say I want to take a cab home when I meet them, someone always argues they are fine, only to take a ride home with them knowing their POV is not mine, and regret taking that ride home even though I was not driving.
I am very strict today about my drinking. If I do, I don't drive for 24 hours. If I go out, I take a cab.
I've had too many friends and co workers drive me home whom thought they were fine, but were all over the road like the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
My current friend I go over to his house for a barbecue every couple weeks. I still take a cab home even when he offers me a ride, because he drinks too.
If one is selfish, even then, if you don't give a fuck about others when drinking, you should care enough about yourself to avoid a charge, or worse, ending up in jail for a long time because you thought you were ok.
