Praise Jesus! 😛

Around 30% in my neck of the woods, and lots of people live here.

Hey idiot, riddle me this, why would anybody be looking to escape a future for which there is no evidence and which is supremely unlikely? mh.brewer (edited to put in the right poster) has more chance of dying in battle against the Sacred Band than he has of being judged by any god after his death.

RE: Pew Research
I'm involved in a recovery program where having a higher power is part of the program. However it seems that most of the folks have an issue with the god of the bible for one reason or the other and just completely fabricate one of their own. Most speak of vague energies and spiritual things but can't really define it other than NOT the god of the bible or Jesus. For the purpose of the program, my higher power is the community, nothing supernatural, just a group of people. It's a pretty small group though. 56% in my area in general sounds about right, but even the bible god believers seem to re-define god to their liking.

LOL atheism definitely has nothing to do with not wanting to believe. Theism lends itself to false hope and fear.... atheism doesn't. It most definitely does not cut both ways.
