You asked my opinion on an article.  My opinion is that you got clickbaited by a ministry.

Look at Daniel's amazing prophecies.  How else would he know that.

You might find something interesting if you researched the narrative thrust of the "prophetic" books of the OT outside of the superstitious beliefs you have about them.  They were socio-political commentary...and as is often the case with pundits..."Daniel" fucked the pooch and got it wrong.

Or you can continue to express your own credulity, implicating the author of a magic book in countless tragedies unseen and unforetold in addition to painting him as an idiot.

If you say so..but we've been down this road with you in this thread before..haven't we?  Magic book can tell you a town will be destroyed and never rebuilt...and a person can show you the picture of that same thriving city today..and you'll say;

"See, excellent prophecy!"

Just as, in this case, a person can comment on the political realities of the 6th century bce, get it wrong, and you'll say;

"See, Christ!"

Either your reading comprehension is lacking or you're cherry picking the evidence. The very article you referenced proves you wrong. See the sections on the different schools of thought concerning the four kingdoms. Furthermore, the prediction in Daniel 2:44 never came to pass during the lifetimes of the four monarchs, proving the alleged prophecy to be bogus.

I was referencing the top portion where the kingdoms are clearly listed.

Indeed, and you completely ignored the sections discussing the scholarly controversies over the correct identity of said kingdoms, proving without a doubt your intellectual dishonesty. The accuracy of the alleged prophecy can only be resolved by a fair examination of ALL the evidence, not simply that which you find most convenient.

The really tiresome bit, imo at least..is that if we just let daniel be daniel....instead of trying to baptize him posthumously as a christer prophet...we could at least say that he may have seen one thing clearly in his own time, a thing that others didn't (to their own detriment).  The rise of rome.
