How did the Universe come into being? I don't think it magically appeared. Let me introduce to the Big Bang Theory. 

According to this theory, our universe sprang into existence as a singularity around 13.7 billion years ago. Singularities are thought to exist at the core of black holes. Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. After its initial appearance, it apparently inflated (the "Big Bang"), expanded and cooled, going from very, very small and very, very hot, to the size and temperature of our current universe. It continues to expand and cool to this day.

I don't know how the singularity came to be. But unlike you, I do not assume it is the handiwork of a God you haven't proven the existence of.

Schizo-affective disorder. People with mental disorders and delusions have rational minds and are aware of what their experiences are, too. You seem to be under some misunderstanding regarding mental illness. In particular, mental illness impairs one's abilities to reason selectively, and specifically with regard to the content and faculties in specific areas. Outside those areas, people with mental illness are no less functional or capable than people without such conditions. And that's to say nothing of the possibility, broadly speaking, of it being appropriate to categorize certain behaviors that exist independent of a mental disorder as delusional, a topic that spurs much debate. Additionally, personally speaking, I have been free of the delusions which afflicted me and impacted my thinking for several years now.

So while I understand that you sincerely think that being otherwise rational and aware of your experiences makes the possibility of delusions unlikely, it does not. People who are no different from you in that regard suffer delusions all the time. And people who are under delusions also think that they are rational and aware of their experiences, too. So, nice try, but no cigar. Try again.

NO ONE in Neuro-science EVER says that the brain is the "receiver" of consciousness, and she can quote NO SCIENTIST that says that.
Her posted link to PHYS.org, IN THE SECOND sentence, says precisely the opposite.

The problem with this moron is that she already believes that space-time has existed and has done so since eternity. Her God is a species of that space-time, not separate from it or its creator. The hard part is figuring out where space-time came from originally, but science has some ideas about that. Once you've cleared that hurdle, the existence of the particulars of our existence are a snap. Yet she somehow thinks that postulating a temporally eternal God obviates an explanation for space-time, and that once space-time is granted, that a silly ball of energy God is not only useful, but required. Once you grant space-time as a whole, Occam's razor cuts God off at the knees, regardless of whether we can explain dicks and dayquil or not.

And given Bucky Ball's prior post, I'd like to make a plug for Hanlon's razor. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
