We've got a pretty good idea on the basics of how all that came about. Maybe the plausible hypothesis is not exactly what happened, but it proves that we can conceive of natural processes that can result in what we find. We shouldn't be able to do even that, if you're right.

I don't think much of faith either, so congrats on not being taken in by that vice purported to be a virtue. Why do you think it takes more faith to believe that DNA is the one thing that doesn't come from natural processes (which simulate intelligence in a sort of automated way, btw) when everything else we've found the cause for has been natural?

Seems like the leap of faith is on your end, to me; based on the hope that you've finally found a smoking gun for ID.

There is highly complex and specific information in DNA which can only come from a super intelligence.  The universe is also fine-tuned and had a beginning with the Big Bang.  These are three key features of design.  There are tons of others, like the body plan of living systems,...  Information in DNA is the proof though.

The truth of it is being suppressed in the scientific community.  Have you ever seen the movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed? The scientific community is trying to protect evolution aside from all the issues with the theory.  I suggest you watch the movie if you haven't seen it.

The more times you refer to Expelled admiringly, the more deluded you seem. Protecting a particular theory from criticism is the opposite of what the scientific community actually does. Protecting science education from pseudo-science, however, is exactly what it's for, so system working within expected parameters. And the movie is such a bad joke that it's pathetic to see someone fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

I can vouch for this. During my PhD, I was writing a paper describing evidence that a mutation based evolutionary algorithm based on simulated annealing would be more practical than a genetic algorithm where you can't keep track of how many times a mutation has been evaluated. I showed the draft paper to my supervisor and he just sighed, put the paper down and left the room. I didn't know what I had done. No one had told me. So I sat there a little stunned and then these two heavies came in. I had seen them around but didn't know what their jobs were. I thought they were cleaners and was unsure why the other academic staff were so scared of them.

I started getting nervous when I noticed one of them had jump leads attached to a car battery. I still have scars on the soles of my feet. What's more, they didn't even say anything. It's so dangerous being in academia. You don't even know what is dogma and what isn't. So you need to play it safe. I once saw one 60 year old man being handcuffed and a black bag put over his head before being marched off to the janitor's cupboard to be waterboarded. I didn't even understand what his papers were about yet alone how he went against dogma. I never got to ask him because I never saw him again.
