Our Aussie military garments are now made in China... The locals lost the tender.
I suppose more money stays in our economy so we can buy more shit from China! lol.

Seems to be the standard.
The NZ government has restricted immigration into the country, in light of record immigration, and now doesn't have the workers required in many industries and is talking about bringing in people to fill the required roles.
And one clown has suggested letting the Chinese companies build much of the required infrastructure.
As a military friend once said to me, "Remember, when going into combat, that your equipment was supplied by the lowest bidder. Good luck, soldier!"
