Sadly Americans on both sides are not willing to work together on this issue. There are some however like myself that think there should be some kind of middle ground reached, but even that is nearly impossible in today's political climate.

We don;t need to cold dead hands our guns or ban em, you mean? The people on the talking box keep telling me otherwise.

At least until they get a provision allowing them to freely export guns worldwide to active conflict zones. Then the nickels and dimes rednecks are passing out won;t be so crucial compared to the stolen wealth of entire countries in a single unregulated transaction.
There are already too many guns here, you know, markets flooded? It;s hard to make a buck making guns these days, folks are going under left right and center.

If australias laws are restrictive enough to satisfy I;m all for it. What would I have to do, send the government a note from myself as a property owner saying I hunt on my property and pass a background check? Show them the gun safety cert I had to get for my hunting license? Send a picture of my ammo safe and trigger locks?
No problem. I had to do most of that already, anyway. It'd probably take a hell of alot longer to effect the necessary buybacks..but it;s a process, right.
