Metric vs Imperial ?

I'm noticing that metric is starting to creep into the vernacular of our US brethren.
Are things slowly changing over there?
Is Europe putting the pressure on to conform? Just stick it up 'em with a 3.3metre 10 foot pole!
EG: What's your alcohol sold as? ounces or ml?
About the only nostalgic remnant left here is the weight of newborns and parts for my bloody Mustang!
Metric just makes sense! We have 10 fingers guys, not 12!
PS, Is a Fuckton imperial or metric?

As a former liquor store employee, I noticed that American beer is in ounces, but all liquor is in mL.
However, people still call 750 mL bottles "fifths" as in "fifth of a gallon" and 275 mL is still called a "half gallon." Old habits, I suppose.

About freaking time . And no if any Americans are going to try and push that stupid meme about going to the moon . It's got nothing to do with adopting the metric system.

For some stupid reason, I think we still build engines with imperial measurements.
This probably also goes way back with Ford and Holden having been here for 100 years manufacturing.
I just tell our machinist to shave 10 or 20 thou off the heads and block deck, a lick (1 thou) off the crank, lol, and purchase 10 or 20 thou oversize rings for the pistons off the shelf.

A bag is now called a fiddie, which is fifty dollars worth at 2g.
An undie is a hundred dollar bag at 4g.
But that's for poor people and insane.
It's much cheaper to start off at a quarter ounce.
From experience, I can tell you it's very expensive to be caught with 2 pounds whilst crossing the border of SA/WA.
And even more expensive if you can't make it to the court case because they've impounded your vehicle and you live 5500 kms away.
