The Argument Against God's Existence From God's Imperfect Choice

RE: The Argument Against God's Existence From God's Imperfect Choice
Hammy, it's impossible to know the future. We both agreed on that in another thread, because it hasn't happened and doesn't exist.

Are you admitting that your God is not all-knowing then?  Good for you.

If God exists and is morally perfect and the source of all moral truths, is not God morally obligated to reveal those "truths" to Us, His Creation?

I didn't say there was such a possible world at all. I'm talking about logical possibility not metaphysical possibility.

Do you mean "moot point"?

It's not a moot point because I didn't say there was such a possible world at all. I'm talking about logical possibility not metaphysical possibility.

No one has to argue with me on this matter. But I'm making an argument against God's existence so it's the theists who have to address it. Omnipotence as the ability to do anything logical possible is an ability prescribed to God by Christians.

Yes moot, sorry. A different time line is not possible logically nor metaphysically, we have and live a life with the choices we make and no other possibility has ever been shown. You haven't made an argument against God's existence, at best you have made an argument God could have done better if and only if there was a different time line. However there can't be another time line because God is perfect in all ways. Christians do not ascribe anything to God, we receive our information through God's word which was established in eternity past. Past for us that is. It is the atheist who wants to place limits upon God until it suits their argument to assume God can do everything, good or bad. Sorry but god doesn't work in that way, you might try reading and understanding the basics of scriptures about God before arguing against Him.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

RE: The Argument Against God's Existence From God's Imperfect Choice
Since a lot of religious folk tell me this life is a test, the most obvious question is whether the test is fair. No, it isn't. Not even remotely. It could easily be made fairer. So god either can't make it fair, or won't. Neither seem to fit with the narrative.

(This is leaving aside whether performing the test is justified in the first place.)

God doesn't know how to create another god because it's impossible to do so and know how.

God can't create free-will and know the decisions before they happen in real time.

It's impossible.

I believe God knows all possible things to know.

Okay, then you still have some explaining to do.

If God can't know the future, how can he be perfectly good and worthy of worship?  Humans don't know the future, but are well-informed enough to make accurate projections, so why isn't God assumed to have at least as much if not more foresight?  And if he does have foresight, why can't he be held responsible for the misfires of his own actions, i.e. human evils?  Why is God constrained by logic at all, when he himself created the rules which reality operates by?  And if he is constrained by the laws of nature, doesn't that mean miracles are impossible after all?  And if humans have free will, doesn't that mean God is not all-powerful?

I think you've opened the proverbial can of worms.

That;s not what magic book says, Mystic, lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Not really. He knows all possibilities and scenarios, and miracles are in fact done by his chosen Messengers and Guides, they are a display of them who are his proof, and that is only a bit of display of their power, and without reason and logic, miracles are dismissed as sorcery.

So you have to convince yourself the power and love and goodness go hand to hand that the highest power in the world, would not be evil or a deceiver but the a trustee of the Lord of the worlds.

Most nations didn't get convinced of that. Without reason, God nor his Prophets can be proven.\

This is why the story of Jacob and how he got the title "Israel" is so important.

I;ve never had to try to convince myself of any other truth.  That;s not usually something associated with true propositions.

So, tell us why a marathon homoerotic wrestling match was such a big deal?
