T2 ...? whatever it is... Tongue
so if we're talking about movies, yes, I've seen them and I love them... if I can say like this Big Grin

Terminator 2.

Anything after that was just a poor substitute...

I'd be all for it. My body sucks. I'd like an upgrade.

Kevin Warwick is one of these media scientists doing whatever he can to be sensationalist and promote himself by appearing on TV. What little research he does isn't particularly interesting.

In terms of implants, I am sure that some people will really love it in the same way they have piercings and tattoos. Personally I wouldn't. I don't even have a mobile phone.

Makes me wonder about the economics of it all though. Apple for example rely on their fans to keep upgrading their phones for minimal new functionality. Upgrading an implant wouldn't be so easy and I am not sure there would be so much of a second hand market for used implants.

That's why my cat bite's me all the time. He's got a chip in him! I bet they uploaded the T1000 instructions into it! Bastards!

(I have watched all the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I was pissed when it ended prematurely)

I have to agree with you, it's the fact that this guy is slightly crazy on this point and he will do anything for sensation ... and whether it is worth it or not.. and i agree that some crazy people who will implant anything, whatever ...they want to feel special like people who do tattoos or piercing..
I can't deny i like technology, i like it very much  Big Grin  but i don't like when technology tries to take over my thoughts, my personality, wants to take away my inner self...in that moment it's a good time to say.. stop!
But about the economics i'm sure they will do everything to make money on this..lots of money.. so at the beginning there will be implants, and even more implants ...and then it will be upgraded and re-updated.. We can't have any illusions that people will do anything for money, or at least some of the people... Sad
